Presenting the LMU Munich Amgen Scholars in 2022

This year we are welcoming 21 scholars to the Amgen Scholars Programme in Munich. Selected from over 340 applicants, the especially diverse cohort this year brings a total of 15 nationalities into the programme, with countries of origin as far as Australia, Singapore, and Vietman. The participants are paired with 19 labs at LMU Munich, the MPI Institutes of Biochemistry, Neurobiology and Psychiatry, LMU Klinikum, the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research (ISD) and the Helmholtz Center Munich.

The programme will start with our traditional Opening Retreat in Spitzing, where scholars will be introduced to the LMU site staff, affiliated faculty, and relevant research topics, before joining the labs this week.
